Algo debe tener esta cara B para que el grupo haya grabado un video tan divertido con ella, en el que los organos internos cantan mientras uno ingiere alcohol (entre otras sustancias), una metáfora nada sutil pero si muy efectiva.
La letra es perfecta. Me encanta la parte de "you say, "Hey, I never fall,"
as you're falling down. Your blood is all around you now, but you see nothing at all."
Más allá de lo sobredimensionado de su repercusión (Kids es el himno indie del verano), de sus comparaciones con Flaming Lips (ya quisieran Flaming Lips, para mi un grupo de un unico disco), MGMT es un grupo que aporta algo escaso en el indie rock: Frescura.
Destrokk es una oda a la autodestrucción, el ritalin, la derrota, la soledad, y el fracaso. Para mi es una canción perfecta para agosto.

no he podido escuchar en profundidad el de Bloc party, pero creo que me gusta mucho porque no esperaba un disco. Esperaba una puta mierda y la primera escucha y media me da un mixto de sus dos primeros discos.
Y en principio prefiero eso que uno tecno.

My name is Nathan Finch and i would like to show you my personal experience with Ritalin.
I am 32 years old. Have been on Ritalin for 2 years now. This drug has saved my life. I have seen drastic differences between times in my life when I was taking it and when I was not. I failed out of one school and graduated top of my class in the next. Floated from job to job and then became very successful. I don't like the way I feel when I am taking it (I'm boring -- no personality) so, I time my doses to help me in the office or when I have to focus on mundane task's at home like paying bills, taxes etc. and then go without it when I'm recreating.
I have experienced some of these side effects-
Initially some apatite suppression, insomnia and slight gitters. This was corrected by reducing my afternoon dose.
